Freed’s scribe started with the clinical note. Its later rollout added pre-visit preparation, ICD-10 suggestions and automatically drafted clinical letters. Those additions extend the workflow from recording an encounter to preparing for it and producing the paperwork that follows.
Freed and Abridge both turn a clinical encounter into a note. Freed emphasizes the individual clinician’s path from transcription to an EHR entry, while Abridge is built for deployment across health systems. The scope of implementation is a useful distinction before comparing note quality.
