About

The frontier raises in rounds. We record every one.

Frontier Rounds is an independent, free record of how frontier AI companies are funded. No news feed that forgets, no database table without a story — structured funding histories, every number graded for confidence, every claim traceable to where it came from.

How the numbers are graded

Every figure on this site carries a confidence grade. Disclosed means the company published the amount itself. Reported means a credible publication cited sources we checked. Estimated means the figure is derived from analyst or market data and is labeled as such.

We only cite sources on a maintained whitelist — the outlets and official filings that survive a bar for credibility. If a number cannot be traced to a source that meets the bar, it does not get published. The leaderboard shows the grades in place; the standard behind them is applied everywhere else too.

Independence and how this is funded

Frontier Rounds is independent and self-funded. It takes no venture investment, runs no ads, and sells no placement: a company cannot pay to improve its grade, its rank, or its wording. Everything is free to read, and everything — including this site's blog, which runs on an open-source publishing engine we built — is built in the open.

If the site ever takes on sponsorship or data licensing, it will be disclosed here, labeled in place, and arranged so that it cannot touch the grading. That is the deal.

Corrections and updates

Funding records age in public. Rounds are added as they close and are verified against official filings or whitelisted sources; grades move when better evidence arrives — a Reported figure can be upgraded to Disclosed, and a number that cannot hold up gets pulled rather than defended. When we get something wrong, we fix the record and the fix stays visible in the page history.

Who is behind it

Frontier Rounds is built and maintained by Kostja, a growth practitioner who has spent years advising AI companies and watching how capital stories get told — and mistold. The site exists because the coverage gap kept showing up in the work: the newest round was everywhere, the record was nowhere.

If you want to know why this site exists rather than what it does, read the introduction. If you want the data, it is one click away — free, graded, and linked.
