Is a company’s founding date the same as its incorporation date?

Not necessarily. A team can begin work before a legal entity is registered. Incorporation, public launch and rebranding are distinct events and do not automatically replace the founding date.

How are companies ordered within the same year?

They are listed alphabetically. This order does not imply that one company was founded earlier in that year than another.
