Give agents and other software identities controlled access to systems.
Keycard emerged from stealth in 2025 with access controls for AI agents and other non-human workloads. Its launch centered on the identity an agent uses to access another system, a problem that becomes distinct once software can initiate actions without a person clicking each step.
Keycard focuses on who or what an agent can act as. Lakera Guard focuses on the instructions and data that pass through a model call. The controls address different risks when an application can both process untrusted input and invoke privileged tools.
