Lakera developed Guard for threats on the path between an application and its model, including malicious prompts and attempts to extract data. Check Point’s acquisition added that protection to the portfolio of a broader security vendor.
Lakera Guard inspects traffic around model calls. HiddenLayer also covers AI threats but has a wider focus on model scanning and deployment security. Buyers can compare the systems by where they need enforcement: at the application boundary, the model supply chain, or both.
